TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST. VICTOR
1.0 FTE

Grade 2/3/4

E ffective immediately
Until approx. April 7, 2026 , but no t to extend beyond June 2 6 , 202 6

Mandatory Requirements:

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Divisions

Preferred Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division
• Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
• Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
• Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
