Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:

TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST GREGORY
0.4 FTE (Monday and Friday)

Classroom Resource Teacher (CRT)

Effective immediately and not to extend beyond June 27, 202 6

Mandatory Requirements:

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions
• Special Education Part I

Preferred Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions.
• Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies.
• Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in special education, including the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP's)
• Knowledge and experience of the Identification, Placement and Review process (IPRC's)
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies for both Literacy and Numeracy
• Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction and individualized educational programming.
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies and facilitate differentiated instruction.
• Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement.
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties.
• Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset.
